Troop Email Distribution List The troop has set up an email list for troop members to the commercial web portal, www.yahoogroups.com. Unfortunately yahoo is an advertising based service - so you will frequently see commercial ads when reading emails from the distribution list. To protect our scouts' privacy, only registered troop members and their parents may be on any of these email lists, view the files stored on the yahoo site or send messages to the troop. You will be able to send messages to a distribution list only if you are already subscribed to that list. Furthermore - when sending emails for distribution - you must be using the same email account you use to receive the emails. You may also send messages from the Yahoo Groups portal. Troop 217: This list is for all Scouts, Scouters, and Parents. Click to subscribe to troop217 : send an email You do not need to have a Yahoo screen name to be a member of this group. Even if you do have a yahoo name - you can designate your group emails to go anywhere you choose. However some of the advanced features (chat, online polls, accessing the file and photo areas of these group pages, etc.) will require you to get a free yahoo screen name.
